Question by Kyte: How does newegg determine defective items vs customer installation damage?
I don’t want to be fraudulent but I installed a motherboard from newegg in my PC and it worked for half hour and then died. Is that considered defective? I want to have it refunded. Do you think it will pass RMA?

You should be fine – I’ve used Newegg and they have always given me the benefit of the doubt. After all, they are a huge reseller and they can handle the returns (it is cheaper to take a customer’s word than fight it at some point).
